Applications are, hereby, invited from suitably qualified candidates into the postgraduate programmes of the University of Port Harcourt Business School

Admission into the MBA, EMBA and MSc programs are in January and July while Admission into the DBA and Ph.D. programs are only in January.

Admissions Requirements

Postgraduate Diploma (PGD)

Duration – 9 months Online/Physical

Applicants must possess a University degree with at least a Third (3rd) class or Higher National Diploma (HND) with at least a merit pass. Admission commences as soon as the application process is concluded.

Duration – 2 years Online/Physical

Applicants must possess at least a Second (2nd) class lower degree in the relevant areas.  For Health Care Management and Security Management, a University degree and Professional Certification with at least two (2) years’ work experience is required.

The area of specialization includes Accounting; Finance & Banking; Management; Marketing; Health Care Management; Project Management; Logistics & Supply Chain Management; Tourism & Hospitality Management; Oil, Gas & Energy Management; and Security Management.

Duration – 1 year

Applicants must possess a minimum of Second (2nd) class lower degree in the relevant areas with at least three (3) years’ work experience

Duration – 6 months

Applicants must have done their MBA program in the relevant areas.

The area of specialization includes Project Management; Logistics & Supply Chain Management; Public Finance & Corporate Governance; Accounting; Finance & Banking; Management; Marketing; Health Care Management; Organizational Behaviour, Human Resources Management; Oil, Gas & Energy Management.

Duration – 3 years

Applicants must possess an MBA or MSc in the relevant areas

The areas of specialization are:

DBA – Accounting (Forensic Accounting; Taxation & Public Sector Accounting; Management Accounting & Policy)

DBA – Finance & Banking (Investment & Portfolio Management; Management of Financial Institutions & Markets; Corporate Finance)

DBA – Management (Organizational Behaviour; Human Resources & Strategic Management; Production & Operations Management)

DBA – Marketing (Digital and Social Marketing; Consumer Behaviour; International Marketing)

  2. Create and activate a personal account on the website (an activation link will be sent to your email after creation of an account)
  3. Login to your account, Click on the Admissions Menu, Click the APPLY BUTTON next to the advert. Scroll to the end of the page and CLICK THE APPLY BUTTON

     

  4. A Payment Page will be shown. Choose your preferred method of payment.  Click on Make Payment/ Pay the non-refundable application fee of Fifty Thousand (N50, 000) into the School’s Bank Account OR ONLINE VIA CREDIT CARD. ONLINE Payment ensures Instant activation to fill the form (merchant charges apply). Bank Deposit/Transfer payments takes a minimum of 48 hours for portal activation

ALL EVIDENCE OF BANK PAYMENT MUST BE UPLOADED ON THE PORTAL BY CLICKING THE SUBMIT PAYMENT BUTTON, SELECT DATE OF PAYMENT AND UPLOAD THE EVIDENCE OF PAYMENT.

 

  1. Fill the Application Form online
  2. Upload on the website (https://ubsportal.org/) the required documents using theDOCUMENTS UPLOAD MENU. (Academic Credentials starting from the least (WAEC/O-LEVELS to your most recent qualification, Curriculum Vitae, Birth certificate, NYSC Discharge Certificate )
  3. All hard copy transcripts should be sent to the school using the transcript label which will be available after application. Soft copies of transcripts can be sent to upbs@uniport.edu.ng
  4. Referees’ remarks/comments should be filled online by the referees through a link which will be sent via mail
  5. The Application Form and the accompanying documents should be uploaded/submitted 

Applicants would be invited for oral and/or aptitude tests before admission is finalised
